POSTPONEMENT OF WTC 2020, RESCHEDULED TO 14 – 18 FEBRUARY 2021

On behalf of the 5th World Trauma Congress, being hosted by the Australasian Trauma Society we are announcing today the postponement of the WTC 2020 Congress which was scheduled to take place in Brisbane, 26 – 29 October 2020.

Invitation To Attend

On behalf of the Australasian Trauma Society we would like to invite you to participate in the World Trauma Congress 2020. The Congress will be held from 14 – 18 February 2021 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Queensland, Australia.

A unique gathering of international Trauma experts and societies to discuss contemporary Trauma-related topics in order to further the aim of the Congress of a “Global Collaboration in Trauma Care”. Pre- Congress workshops will include: Trauma procedures and interventions (eg REBOA), the ABSET course (Anatomically-based surgical exposure for Trauma), advanced Trauma nursing and Trauma research/ publication workshops.

This Trauma Congress will be a once in a life-time opportunity to hear experts from around the globe talk on topics on which they have published and to hear about Trauma practice in many different countries.

The plenary sessions will include a mix of international Trauma experts who will cover a diversity of topics including the following:

  • The global burden of Trauma
  • The latest evidence in Trauma resuscitation
  • Trauma system development, politics and accreditation
  • Trauma care in rural and remote communities
  • Trauma care in vulnerable groups
  • Paediatric trauma
  • The latest in translational research
  • Best practice in trauma radiology
  • Recovery after major injury
  • Best practice in post injury analgesia
  • Trauma education and training
  • Mass casualty and disaster preparedness
