The Australasian Trauma Society and the World Coalition for Trauma Care are pleased to invite you to attend the 5th World Trauma Congress. Along with a full program of pre-conference workshops this is a conference not to be missed!

Invitation To Attend

On behalf of the Australasian Trauma Society we would like to invite you to participate in the World Trauma Congress 2020. The Congress will be held from 26th – 30th October 2020 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Queensland, Australia.

A unique gathering of international Trauma experts and societies to discuss contemporary Trauma-related topics in order to further the aim of the Congress of a “Global Collaboration in Trauma Care”. Pre- Congress workshops will include: Trauma procedures and interventions (eg REBOA), the ABSET course (Anatomically-based surgical exposure for Trauma), advanced Trauma nursing and Trauma research/ publication workshops.

This Trauma Congress will be a once in a life-time opportunity to hear experts from around the globe talk on topics on which they have published and to hear about Trauma practice in many different countries.

The plenary sessions will include a mix of international Trauma experts who will cover a diversity of topics including the following:

  • The global burden of Trauma
  • The latest evidence in Trauma resuscitation
  • Trauma system development, politics and accreditation
  • Trauma care in rural and remote communities
  • Trauma care in vulnerable groups
  • Paediatric trauma
  • The latest in translational research
  • Best practice in trauma radiology

  • Best practice in post injury analgesia
